About NEWDEX

The Northeast Wisconsin Data Exchange (NEWDEX) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2023. We are a trusted, go-to resource for reliable, easy-to-use community data.

NEWDEX provides free and open access to local information and insights, serving 11 counties in Northeast Wisconsin. Formerly known as the Fox Valley Data Exchange in Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties, NEWDEX expanded in the summer of 2026 and now also serves Brown, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Menominee, Oconto, Shawano, Waupaca and Waushara Counties.

We are changing the way the region accesses data!

Community measures are available online (newdex.org) in maps, charts, and graphs – not only at the county level but also by ZIP codes, census tracts, and municipal boundaries. With a growing library of over 130 indicators, the online platform brings together data on population, housing, education, transportation, workforce, health, economic well-being, environment, and other community conditions. Each indicator has been thoughtfully selected to make important information easier to find, understand, and use.

On the website, you can examine trends over time, compare across counties or demographic groups, and apply custom tools to support informed planning, collaboration, and investment. Users can also download data sets for custom aggregation and independent analyses.

By making information and insights widely available and accessible, NEWDEX enables residents, organizations, and decision-makers to gain a greater understanding of community conditions, collaborate effectively, and create data-informed strategies and actions.
